Microwave Mentality vs. Garden Mentality
We live in a microwave world. Fast food, internet, shipping, opinions, success. Somewhere along the way, we started expecting life to work the same way. We want overnight influence. Immediate promotion. Instant healing. Quick answers. Rapid growth. In my experiences, the most valuable things in life have never grown that way. Character. Trust. Wisdom. Leadership. Faith. Legacy. Gardens don't apologize because they aren't ready to harvest the day after the seed is planted. Neither should you. Every season has purpose. There is a season for planting. A season for watering. A season for pruning. A season for waiting. The last two, pruning and waiting can often be the most challenging. And yes...A season for harvesting. If you judge the seed before its season, you'll call something dead that God is still growing.
Don't allow microwave mentality to rob you of garden faithfulness. Keep planting, watering, serving, growing. The harvest will arrive in its season. Not because you rushed it. But because you remained faithful.
Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
